That would require Rue to be a level of crazy that I don’t see them giving her
Buuut Elliot hasn’t interacted with literally anybody that I can recall, aside from Jules, which is kinda odd and probably what the theory’s based on. Even at the party he’s hiding in a room by himself. Only person outside of rue and Jules I can think he’s interacted with has been his sister (?) that one time.
Right? even Rue’s mom didn’t acknowledge him when he was at the house, she said “Jules told me everything” and consoled Jules after Rue went off on her but completely ignored Elliot. I don’t think it’s real but after reading it, I was kinda like..

Plus we know Rue is an unreliable narrator
HBO going crazy with that promo
They got a theory on the euphoria Reddit about Elliot being a segment of rues subconscious and not an actual real person

this take works because d**** are involved.
unless we know she has serious mental health problems other than being an addict it falls short.
for all we know she’s just depressed and suicidal. Don’t think she’s shizo.
ngl i like this season a little more than the first
Second season been fire, not perfect but it got me tuning in every week on time
That theory about Elliot is cool until you realize Jules has interacted w/ him outside of Rue's presence. No matter how much of a "unreliable narrator" she is there's no way she'd construct a part of her subconscious to have Jules cheat with. She's not schizophrenic AND that'd be horrible storytelling

Yeah but she doesn’t know him, why would she console him? She clearly knows Jules and knows Rue was in a relationship with her.
Elliot told Jules and Jules told her mom. Elliot probably didn’t even talk to her mom.

Are there any other parts that have been proven of Rue being an “unreliable narrator”?
Like scenes in the show that happened but didn’t actually happen?
I feel like that’s not something the show as ever tried to portray so why would they make such a big leap with it in this instance and create an entire fake person?

Throughout the first season when she gives background info on the main cast. But even then every episode we also find out what the actual truth is regarding these characters feelings and whatnot.
Ppl also need to remember that the "narrator" thing only counts when she's actually talking abt the world around her. So far that's happened the first 3 episodes and that's it

Word I need to rewatch the beginning of season 1
Is it true that Alexa Demie is 46 irl?
31 I think which is still p impressive aging

Yea but Jules has acknowledged him. He has a whole family. The cashier at that store acknowledged him. Who were they interrogating then? Who did them dudes who were chasing after him because of that dare chasing after?

there was an episode early in season 1 where she and Jules got tattoos on their tongues (“RULES”) to commemorate their relationship
but then in her special episode with Ali, we find out that never actually happened, they just talked about it
