I think she’ll just go on for years thinking he ghosted her just like how girls like Lexi in real life do and be like “I’m sad but I still have my books” and he’ll have his love letter for her ten years later in Season 3 when she’s all successful as a play writer and with someone else.

the show did a really cool role reversal with Cassie and Maddy. I remember in the first episode, Rue described Cassie as being really sweet. And Maddy was a b**** early on
But then as time went on, we see it’s really the opposite. Maddy’s actually the sweet one and a good friend, Cassie is the snake
