Don't like it and If I ever got tipped when I was a F&B attendant, I would look at you awkwardly. Then again I'm not American.

Waiting tables is an extremely difficult job and anyone who doesn’t tip at least 20% is a moron.

Grow the f*** up, you’re paying for the privelage of a nice experience. If you’re too cheap to go out, then don’t go out and order fast food. If you feel like you don’t need to tip because you only go to s***ty chain restaurants that’s your problem not the servers.

    Extremely difficult lmfaoooooooo

Lmao @ a high schooler taking orders

You're literally a f***ing idiot. To think you know what is necessary to do a job that you haven't worked is insane. Please go apply to be a waiter at a restaurant right now. And not a f***ing Olive Garden or Chili's. I mean go apply to be a waiter at an actual restaurant with demanding clientele, a full menu of food that is all cooked in house, and in all likelihood, short staffed at the moment. You won't believe how disrespected you will be on a day-to-day basis. That alone is worth $50/hr and I make like $35/hrs doing it.

And for anyone who wants to be bring up non-tipped service workers who make minimum wage, they also deserve $50/hrs, it's just that a waiter is someone the clientele is paying to have serve them. Serve them. Serve, as in something only royalty would've had the treatment of 500 years ago. It's all inherently ridiculous.

    $50/hr 💀💀💀💀💀💀 i done seen it all

Yeah okay I’ve done it before. It’s not that f***ing hard. I’m a soldier and sometimes I work for 24 hours without extra pay and you don’t hear me complaining. Because I chose to have this job. Just like anyone else.

“My job is hard” isn’t an excuse

You’re a soldier? Now your perspective on this makes sense, mans brainwashed and fighting for imperialism and militarism so obviously he doesn’t care about exploitation

  • Jun 16, 2021

they pay waiters below minimum wage, they have to make a living wage through tips. youre an a****** if you dont tip waiters, period.

Yeah you’d be lucky to even get a deployment nowadays. Afghanistan is over and Iraq has been over for years now. It’s more like getting paid to sweep floors and drink yourself to sleep nowadays.

Lmao you think you know disrespect? Join the Army infantry for one day and you’ll learn what disrespect truly is. We literally get treated like dogs 24/7. We get humiliated in front of everyone and we have to take it like adults because we understand that this is just what we signed up for.

Everything you’re saying sounds like a f***ing cake walk compared to anything I’ve experienced. And guess what? If you don’t like the disrespect and the stress then just f***ing quit. You can do that and I can’t.

  • Jun 16, 2021

And just as a side note on the $50 an hour thing.

We literally put our f***ing lives, our body, and our sanity on the line. This job has changed everyone here forever even if they didn’t deploy. And we don’t get paid s***. Shut the f*** up.

    Alright that’s it

I think the restaurant should pay the workers properly and we should do away with tips like in almost every other country

I mean I only work in the industry for tips lol the income in uncappable. I take care of my regulars who tip me well with free rounds, or shots. Someone tipping me 1000 one time is something that wouldn't be possible with a standard wage.

  • Jun 16, 2021

Most of you haven't worked as a server or bartender, it's really not that hard but you have to deal with some crazy s***. So if you not gonna tip just stay your broke ass home.

nah i’m in aus where we’re paid a decent wage for serving tables and if you’re at a mid-high end place you’ll get ppl tipping $100-200 on top of their bill

Joining the military is not a survival choice, whereas working in restaurants is the only way I can get paid.

I still think you're looking at this whole thing all wrong. I'm saying you should quit, or find a way to get discharged. Military folks treating you like s*** is not right*, but but it is the same at every job with management giving employees s*** (to far lesser degrees I imagine), but we are talking about people going out to eat, when they can easily stay home and cook. If you don't want to tip, then cook your own damn food and serve it to your damn self.

*you saying to suck it up basically misses the entire point. You shouldn't suck it up either. No one on Earth should "suck up" being talked down to.

That's hella rare tho, and overall you would make more if you were paid a solid $40/hrs from your job. And yes, in nicer restaurants, they can afford this.

Quantifying the disrespect waiters get from guests with the disrespect your aboves give you in the corrupt ass US military. Lmfao
