I use to serve, it’s not that the job requires no skill, it’s that it’s so easy to train someone to do it, anyone can do it. If anyone can do it, the pay will not be good. Not defending any side just saying

it’s just a couple bucks. if you don’t wanna pay a little more to have someone make your food and bring it out to you and check on you and s*** then just do it yourself

Jesus thank you for saying that. People act like being a server takes having a PhD in f***ing Quantum Physics and gives you PTSD. It’s just taking orders, being polite and affable, and giving people their food.

Yeah it’s stressful but so is f***ing everything that requires you to work around people. Like congratulations welcome to the adult world.

why is this relevant? everyone knows when you are supposed to tip, you make the choice to go to a restaurant where you know you are expected to tip. you know your waiter expects tips.

My point is that I don’t HAVE to give you s*** just for doing your job. They shouldn’t expect a damn thing from anyone but their employer.
