who is you guys 🤣🤣
we sayin they should just factor it in and not even call it tips. some restaurants have a flat 10-20% "service charge"
You're right, not cool for me to generalize your take on this with all the other terrible opinions I see in here.
If you read itt you'll see when I said a line has to be drawn
it shouldn't exist in 2021 period.
it's like outlawing abortion it's a complete backwater policy.
tips are a way for them to pass it off to the customer, it's such bs tbh but honestly I don't think waiters or waitresses would want it changed because they definitely wouldn't do as well.
Yeah depending on the place people be getting crazy money in tips. Whole thing is stupid

Like I said itt earlier I dont like to do it man, I try to avoid it as much as possible
just how much would meal prices go up if they paid their workers a fair share?

glad i don't live in the States the tipping culture is pretty scandalous and arcaic

It'll be whatever. Don't fear monger for restaurant owners fam.
If the food is bomb, people will take that into account. Better yet just instate a mandatory gratuity of 20 percent for wait staff. People will factor that in prior to coming
If dudes are willing to double their delivery price with Uber, they can afford to drop a couple beans at a Jamaican spot

It's all class-ism too
These days I prefer saving on the groceries. Youtube making me a chef lowkey
should just get in the habbit of giving 10-20%; I do think it’s a sign of being a degenerate or not 🤷🏽♂️
Edit: cook for yourself if you can, it’s one of the best skills
the waiters work for the employer the employer should be responsible for their pay not the consumers.
we should still be able to tip if they provide good service...
not tipping at all at local sit down places is cruel, if the service is good ofc. i just think the normalization of having to leave a 20% tip no matter what is too much.
it should be a dollar amount not a percentage food cost really shouldnt be a factor
we should still be able to tip if they provide good service...
This is true too
You can never pay enough for good service
where do we draw the line then?
they do have tip jars at starbucks mcdonalds etc.
just how much would meal prices go up if they paid their workers a fair share?
if u paying tip anyway it shouldn't matter. food goes up 20% or 10% or wouldnt matter if u tip

Nah dw fam
roger that
edit: but i feel servers are IRATE when a $2 tip is left on something like a $50 dollar meal even
if i live where tipping is practiced I tip appropriately
if I dont live where tipping is practiced I do not tip
it is genuinely that simple...
