Cuz there’s a lot of connection between being sexually violated and that leading to being sex-repulsed which leads to asexuality. Like, a lot. That affirms to me that asexual folks choose to be so. Like to me it’s a lifestyle choice. Not that there’s anything wrong with it

i didn't really understand it either until i had tripped pretty hard on two tabs, and this song by Uboa had came on and the song sounded like she was getting surgery, she made some of the most disgusting noises ive ever heard a human make in my life, and mind you im hearing this in HD detail because im high as s***
after i came down, i was so disgusted by the human body for nearly a month, it eventually dissipated, but i understood where aces came from to an extent, anyways

I don’t understand why it’s like a label/established part of lgbt. It doesn’t make sense to me. Apparently some asexuals f*** all the time, but because they don’t ‘like’ it that makes them asexual? It’s all too confusing, out of everything lgbt-related asexuality is the one that is by far the most ‘u jus made this s*** up’ one there is
How's the navy life

"Not being born with" isn't the same as "chooses to be"
They don’t face exclusion from Hetero normal society, becuz we don’t give a s*** abt them. Who cares if u don’t get h****. Who cares if u only get h**** with someone you’ve formed a deep bond with. Lgbt people likely have a prob with asexuals becuz they (asexuals) don’t face the oppression that the lgbt folks do on a regular basis. U can’t be ‘outwardly’ asexual for example, as opposed to being outwardly gay or trans. I don’t have a problem with asexuals but this idea that they must be ‘protected’ is ludicrous lol like protected from what? Internet criticism??
any identity that lies outside the norm tends to experience some sort of social ostracization. Not being normal can suck a lot sometimes.
This may come as a shocker to you but the norm is to be a cis person who enjoys hetero sex. Everyone who differs from this norm faces some degree of social difficulty. Yes, not enjoying hetero s***in a society built entirely around enjoying hetero s***can cause problems for people.
Imagine you can't have sex. Imagine that's completely off the table, u just cant do it. Imagine growing up and not being able to take part of the normal crushes and dates and hookups in high school. You can see how that might alienate you from your peers right?
Imagine ur an adult incapable of having sex. Do you see how this could make dating really difficult? Do you see how this might make you feel like a social outcast in some contexts?
Most importantly, do you see how all of this can happen without anybody hating asexuals? Most of the issues faced by those who don't match the cis hetero norm aren't caused by mean people, they are caused by hetero/cis normative power structures.
I'm with you on the whole "asexual who enjoys sex" thing makes zero sense but my personal take is that even though it might seem ridiculous to me I'm sure it makes sense to whoever claims that identity, I might as well let them rock instead of ridiculing
