one day you’ll walk into a store, and it will all be robots made to look and act like humans. you more than likely won’t ever interact with them cause you’ll have to order through a screen while they are behind a barrier humans can’t cross. if you have a question, they’ll come listen and nod, process the question into their system, react as they are supposed to, and handle the new task they have been assigned. once they get these in offices we’re cooked

Sorry but Im mostly in support of AI wiping out almost 100% of Customer service jobs.

Why do I have to talk to four different people, get my call dropped, struggle with accents & attitude, assaulted with "I don't know" just to speak with someone about a flyer your company put out?!

Nah get these people outta here smh...

You think having AI on the other end will make the process simpler/easier?

love how hundreds of these can spring up over a years time without a vote or even a heads up, siphoning off drinking water and electricity, surveilling citizens and stealing their data, and its called good business and "integral to national security" but us saying 'hey, this sucks. dont build that in my neighborhood' is the true extremism

  • You need AI it’s like air!

I'd agree if it was a goods + services type thing.

but social media specifically needs people for sure.

so many people get locked out/hacked and AI just doesnt understand what protocol to take.

I just posted an article on how hackers tricked Meta by telling it theyre locked out of their instagram

all they did was match the location of the account they want, and use a fake selfie and it let them reset passwords

A data center was proposed in my area about 3km from where I live. After 1600+ emails sent, a protest yesterday morning and a bunch of people speaking at the city's zoning committee meeting yesterday, the proposal got denied.

It's likely not the end of this and I'm sure the developers behind this will appeal, but what a huge win. Never been more proud of my city for standing up to this bullshit.

    @survival_horror

I would like to be a bit more clear brotha

If self-aware AI robots become part of society and start replacing both white-collar and blue-collar workers, at what point do we stop calling them “machines” and start asking whether they deserve civil rights?

And if people refuse to see them as living beings because they were “built” instead of born, how different is that from the way some people dehumanize immigrants, workers, or anyone they see as disposable?

I can already see protest now, governments will have to produce a ubi system. People wll look down on them as they did my ancestors and still do.

I fear some of us in here would kill an AI robot if they had a chance even if it had feelings, and i'm not sure I'd be ok with that.

Bro, people are slaughtering like gazillions of sheep/pigs/cows, other animals who are very close to humans.
If Sam Altman somehow builds some mannequin who acts like he is hurt, I don't care about this piece of junk.
Of course seeing how AI companies have zero morals, in the future they would put like a colony of those mannequins somewhere and say like Oh, that's beings with feelings, you can't move them.
If people consider droids more deserving of life than cows, I am not ok with this.
Like really, you would be ok with a cow getting it is brain splattered by gas gun so you can eat steak, but care about some person emulator?

  • I love ai so much man. It's saving me so much time and it's so good at helping me solve all kind of issues in a matter of minutes. I don't wish to go back to the days where i was browsing the internet for hours just to find the fix of a stupid bug or error

    Thank god for web agents

    God bless Claude

    God bless Gemini

    God bless vide coding

Thinking about how it's already so good right now and will only get better in the future
