You really have to ask him a non-typical question he's interested in for him to "light up" when he speaks. There's interviewers that ask him the same question over and over.

yup exactly
ugh I was afraid this s*** would out like this.
what a mess
good acting from Lakeith though
Lol I know of his work fam I’m a fan. Just was wondering if that rumor is true that he’s never had traditional acting training. Like going to school and acting classes
he talks about it like 4 minutes in here

yeah his high school drama club is the extent of his acting training
like a formulaic biopic film
TSN was a linear film too but it had so much style and felt like a film only Fincher could have made
I feel like anybody could have made this film
Ah I see. You wanted that s*** to be like 300.
I feel you bro

Yeah, talking about TSN means I wanted this to be 300
You’re so smart bro!
Would y'all say this is a film that capitalizes on black trauma? Haven't seen it yet but I'm uneasy knowing how fred's story played out in real life
Nope
lol he was in uncut gems he did well there and lol he plays a cool but wierd guy in ATL
His Atlanta work is A+ lol
I’m thankful they didn’t ruin the atmosphere of this movie by trying to score it with Cardi b or some s*** I literally can’t stand when niggas do that
Classical instruments on the score is usually the way to go especially for period pieces
Thats why black kkk score was good
I think any film that showcases black trauma is definitely taking advantage of the current social climate for money no matter how respectful or artful it is
Yes, this is a film that greatly humanizes the Black Panther party and Fred Hampton while also adequately conveying his views (even if it pushes him to a supporting role) but end of the day it’s a HBO Max streaming film that is clearly playing and marketing off the current social climate

Doesn’t mean these stories don’t need to be told nor that we can’t appreciate or take something from them. It’s imperative that some of them are. This one in particular is long over due. Whether or not it’s for profit isn’t really my concern in a world where literally everything, good, bad, or indifferent, is for profit.
anybody got good resources for learning fred hampton story ? looking to learn more before watching the movie
