It’s not abuse. No one is punching kids in the face. A spanking on the ass is typically what people are talking about when they say whooping/beating. At least that’s what I got. I can count on one hand how many times I’ve been whooped and each time it was for something that put myself/others in danger. My dad would always discipline me with time outs and conversation so when he got that belt out I knew it was serious and I’d instantly change my ways. If you whooping your kid for everything they do wrong you a s***ty parent but a little physical discipline when the kid does some really bad s*** isn’t wrong at all, if anything it shows there’s consequences for poor behavior and you can get hurt way worse in the real world
