I’m in California too and a couple of my Mexican friends got DUIs but I think they got offered programs and s*** to make it a little better

Comparing drunk driving to drunk consent makes no sense. Driving is a choice you make alone, calling a cab is easy. Saying no to a man pushing for sex, especially when you’re drunk, is hard because of fear and pressure. The law holds drunk drivers responsible because they might kill someone. The law doesn’t blame a drunk woman for being attacked, it blames the sober person who chose to take advantage.

Claiming this is unfair to men ignores who actually has power in that situation.
