"Shoutout coach Phil. Phil Handy. He taught me how I can stay in this league. How I can make an impact. First thing he talked about is the 3-pointer. Honestly I don't really like it. I don't like taking threes."

    LeBron:

"I left everything I could out on the floor. I control what I can control, and I can leave the floor saying, even though I hate losing, I was locked in on what we needed to do.

I tried to make sure our guys were locked in on what we needed to do. Obviously we fell a little short, but I'm not looking at my year as a disappointment, that's for damn sure."

LeBron James on basketball as a 41-year-old: "The love of the game is always there. I don't think it ever goes away. ... But the process to me has always been so much more important. Because if I fell out of love with the process, then I'd probably fall out of love with the game"

  • Last postgame conference of the season yall

And why did JJ sub out Rui on that last possession

Maxi is a better screener, which would create an open look. Rui would be locked up if he was in, no guarantee he would get a clean look quickly.

  • As others have mentioned, biggest off season since AD trade.

The lack of good free agents is concerning, Lakers don’t have that many assets available by trade, just 3 1sts.

End of the day, Lakers need depth, athleticism, and shooting. Finding a better post presence would be great.

Rob Pelinka says the Lakers roster had "three quarterbacks" on it with Luka Doncic, LeBron James and Austin Reaves, which can be a luxury but also a challenge for JJ Redick, the players and the coaching staff.

"All in all, an amazing job of fitting it all together."
