That doesn’t make it one of his most popular songs, I’m not trying to say its not a respected song amongst Lupe fans but go ask an average person to name a Lupe song they arent gonna say Dumb It Down
They’re gonna say Kick Push, Superstar, Show Goes On, Paris Tokyo etc
why are you arguing this point?
ah i see
we not talking about average fans
we here for the hip hop heads
younahmean
But we’re talking about singles and impact
Why do singles even matter if we’re talking about hip hop heads
why are you arguing this point?
Because you said I was crazy for saying Dumb It Down isn’t one of his most known songs
U just said that, u got short term memory or something?
But we’re talking about singles and impact
Why do singles even matter if we’re talking about hip hop heads
they matter because they are a part of the equation when discussing S tier emcees
how you approach your
singles says a lot about you
so it's a very good way to discuss
different attributes certain emcees display

It sucks that due to those singles, casuals labeled him as some pop rapper and many people I talked to irl weren't aware that he makes music to this day
Shows you how irrelevant he is nowadays ngl

Well even if bringing them up as a measuring point against Kendrick he still does pretty well with singles
Most of his singles have a message and fit within the context of his albums

Yeah his singles are pretty good for the most part too. Paris Tokyo is one of the best songs on the cool

B**** Bad aged terribly, listened to it recently and holy s*** the beat is epitome of generic
B**** bad just a dumb song period
I still like his flow but the concept and beat eh
B**** Bad planted the seed for Lu to make Drogas LIGHT, just a huge self aware parody of rap. Jump is still a cool song though
Smh
Goddamn forgot about this too
Man has given this world too many incredible raps
I f*** with Lupe he’s one of the best rappers of all time, super underrated multiple classics under his belt
Stop hating on Kendrick, u are OBVIOUSLY on the wrong side of history
Alright im out

S*** felt like a generic B.o.B/Grand Hustle type of album where lupe decided to rap over
Thread lead me towards Us Placers, I need a moment this still hurts
US PLACERS 12/10
CRS FOREVER

BOB has classics before he jumped on the trap wave
Well even if bringing them up as a measuring point against Kendrick he still does pretty well with singles

kendrick is playing this game the right way
i think very highly of him and what he has been able to execute and achieve is very hard to stand up against
but i also feel like what Lupe was doing when he entered the scene was the blueprint for Kendrick
and having lived through both
i am of the mind that what
Lupe offered is of higher quality
and i feel that one of Kendrick's
greatest strengths is his public image
if he'd had to deal with label bullshit
he'd be in the same position Lupe is
imo
and that is why i enjoy debating this topic
because i feel like at the end of the day
this is what Hip Hop is about
healthy discussion
nahmean
BOB has classics before he jumped on the trap wave
I don't like his music nowadays, find his voice little annoying
