Heros and Villians did 185k first week. Why are we acting like Metro is some DJ Green Latern or some s***? I liked the project a lot but numbers wise this was not good

That was a studio album with basically big name features on every single track.

This is a throwback, super regional mixtape in which the majority of vocalists are Atlanta artists who haven’t been nationally relevant in 10+ years.

A producer album is ONLY as popular as the featured vocalists on it are.

I don’t understand why you would hold this project to the same standard.

And even if you did, you still cannot name even three producer mixtapes that cleared more than 50K first week within the past 10 years

i hope these sales don't dissuade anyone from putting out an album like this stuff like this is so important

capitalism ruins so much s*** sadly

This tape is catered to people around 30+ , this isn’t surprising at all .
Gen Z isn’t going to resonate with this music, so they are likely not going to listen to the project.

I’m sure Metro was fully aware this wouldn’t be his most popular project

See why do this? The album has gotten great reception and I personally enjoyed the concept a lot. Don’t be lame

imma say this once….folks caring about sales is hilarious especially when they don’t even pay for the music.

metro big enough to should be able to do more than 20k first week after his last couple projects

not sure why people capin so hard
there is more important stuff than numbers, lot of people seem to f*** with the tape and did what its supposed to do

numbers are still bad, thats just how it is when you enter the big leagues

was hoping metro would return to his 2012-2015 sound

I’m not saying this project should have did +100k, I’m saying 20k is bad for a producer like Metro Boomin who recent dropped projects with the 3 biggest rappers in the game.

    20K people know ball

This project is fire, good vibes.

Which is to his point no matter who u worked with producer albums don’t tend to do well and the fact with these features, this promo and this sound even had hundreds of thousands tune in is a testament to his name

You can easily tell which people actually appreciate hip-hop and which ones just like to gossip like b****es by the way they’re talking about this tape

The “bitches” couldn’t make the thread about Clipse because Clipse did amazing first week so they saved their energy for Metro
