2026 is looking to be an extremely fun year for film. What movies are you most anticipating for 2026? Here are a few that came to mind:
@op slacking for not adding Cliff Booth
The Continuing Adventures of Cliff Booth
Digger
I love boosters
Wild horse nine
Dune 3
Jack of spades
All of a Sudden
Fjord
Parallel Tales
Disclosure Day
Both of the new Kore-eda films
Giving up on The Way of the Wind coming out in my lifetime at this point
Wild Horse Nine - Martin McDonagh
Jack of Spades - Joel Coen
Her Private Hell - Refn
The Entertainment System is Down - Ruben Ostlund

Flowervale Street (Dir. David Robert Mitchell)
He's finally getting out of director jail for Under the Silver Lake. A scifi thriller involving dinosaurs. Sounds weird.
The Bookie and the Bruiser (Dir. S Craig Zahler)
I've read another of his books since Dragged Across Concrete came out. He's a genuine sicko.
Teenage S***and Death at Camp Miasma (Dir. Jane Schoenbrun)
Her follow up to I Saw the TV Glow.
Victorian Psycho (Dir. Zachary Wigon)
His follow up to Sanctuary. It's a retro take on American Psycho I suppose. It was going to star Marguet Qualley but got recast with Maika Monroe.
Fjord (Dir. Cristian Mungiu)
Really enjoyed his last movie RMN. Romanian stuff.
Enemies (Dir. Henry Dunham)
He directed a little movie called The Standoff at Sparrow Creek that was great for how small it was. Very old school. This one has Austin Butler and Franz Rogowski and Jeremy Allen White. Big step up.
October (Dir. Jeremy Saulnier)
A fugitive thriller set during Halloween. Layup for a guy like Saulnier.
Onslaught (Dir. Adam Wingard)
Trailer park shoot em up. Crazy cast. Hope he puts those Godzilla checks to good use.
Full Phil (Dir. Quentin Dupieux)
I'm a big fan of his recent run. An actual eccentric. Seeing him work in English again with big names will be cool.
All of a Sudden
Fjord
Parallel Tales
Disclosure Day

Did not expect Fjord to have already been mentioned. Real
And yeah, Malick is George RR Martin with that thing
Movies that probably aren't coming out in 2026

i NEED that new zahler, one of the last real ones when it comes to sickos
However sick you think his movies are, his books are sicker. What an evil guy! So refreshing
Wild Horse Nine - Martin McDonagh
Jack of Spades - Joel Coen
Her Private Hell - Refn
The Entertainment System is Down - Ruben Ostlund
Refn already shot The Avenging Silence. We'll probably get that before Her Private Hell.
i NEED that new zahler, one of the last real ones when it comes to sickos
And we need the Zahler and Park collab! The western joint he’s been tryna get made for over 10 years
However sick you think his movies are, his books are sicker. What an evil guy! So refreshing
