not on my watch buddy
ahhh gotcha. hopefully releases next year it looks really interesting
The team at Black Bear, which financed the film and recently launched its own U.S. distribution arm, decided to release it themselves. The reason: “no immediate buyers” and the “wonky economics of the acquisition business nowadays.”
The Odyssey, I don’t think I have been this hyped for a movie in my life. Greek mythology has always been super intriguing to me & the fact Nolan is directing it is just
unreal
Nosferatu was masterful
God yeah that movie was f***ing sick man. Lowkey had to cover my ears on a few scenes so I didn’t jump so much

Lilly Rose was doing things ive never really seen before. easy all timer horror performance for me.
Also loved how the Eggmon knew he was never gonna match the iconic look of the old Nosferatu so they barely showed him, just let his overwhelmingly oppressive presence and vocal delivery do the heavy lifting.
need the greatest filmmaker currently living (Malick) to f***ing finish editing his bible banger
The Odyssey
Hokum
Dune 3
Werwulf
Hokum
that directors other flicks good? I trust you
Eggerslop in 2026 bro
We gotta ban the word slop at this point it means nothing
Eggers slop? Even if you don’t like his movies they have a very distinctive style
Slop just means something totally devoid of creativity not just some movie you didn’t like

It doesn't make sense to refer to Eggers as "Eggers slop". He's the original. Anyone cutting into his lane would be "Eggers slop". Such as

Nosferatu was masterful
My big takeaway was that he approached it like a disaster film. I don't think anyone else had looked at the structure of the novel and realized that. All the travel and isolated incidents with one big explanation and Willem Dafoe putting the pieces together. Brilliant

The whole first half of Oddity is f***ing terrifying but ending could have been better. Either way the director is a fresh voice in horror.
