Eric Adams is the incumbent. Scumbag who lost a lot of support from the Democratic party cause he started throwing ass for Trump to bail him out of a corruption case. He's running independent because he doesn't have much choice.

Republican party in NYC has been some hot trash for some years now, and the only person they got running for them is Curtis Sliwa, who is basically a Trump-esque nutjob. However, because he doesn't like Trump and doesn't want to be associated with MAGA, he doesn't even get the support of that base.

Conservatives hardly came out to support Sliwa when he was up against Adams. Son got dogwalked.

The split between votes will mostly be between Adams and Cuomo. Adams still has a chokehold on elderly Black NYC citizens. Cuomo might fair better with conservative voters, but running independent. But it's just not gonna be enough for him.

Cuomo is doing so bad that running in the general is a waste of time. Mamdani will be mayor . its done
