This was funny as F***
https://twitter.com/afrym76/status/2082113686143938735I was confused for the longest by that mayor account tweet
Nyc republicans crying about one of Ghislaine's lawyer's not being able to pick judges

Are they upset that there are no Jewish appointees or are they using that as a cover for not having that pdf file defender lawyer selected?
If it's the latter

They're upset there are no jewish people on the council that appoints judges (that has appointed jewish judges), and the biggest "snub" is a lawyer that was on ghislaine's defense team
I feel bad for only just finding out Mamdani is a successful filmmaker with Oscar & Golden Globe nominations
How did I miss this?
obviously because 'ideology > everything' his mom doesn't matter, but still i should've known
Hes doing God's work. We must protect him. 🙏🏽
!https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=91DoiansHqk&pp=ygUOTWFtZGFuaSBhbWF6b24%3DIt's crazy how things are worded/presented change how you perceive things.
The local news and Amazon themselves would have you believe that doing this would raise delivery fees, cause longer delivery times and Amazon's "threat" to pull out of the city would remove jobs and hurt NYC's economy. When in reality this is only closing yet another loophole that trillion dollar companies take advantage of.
Always funny how the average American will cap for these guys, but if one guy takes advantage of a government assistant program they foam at the mouth wanting the whole program removed
these 'good person in office' sorts of american politics make absolute sure those boots remain firmly on workers necks

I disagree in this case; Mamdani’s ascendancy seems to have less of a placating effect than previous actors, especially in the context of establishment dem opposition
I’ve seen people be more willing to embrace mass line organizations after seeing the DSA (lol!) put in effective ground work
It’s just now up to people to plug these sentiments into establishing and joining these orgs

surely its the smiling beard man motivating these people to start organizing and not the fact that their lives are worse than ever

They go hand in hand even if a mundane figurehead isn’t the foundation of these movements
Mamdani’s attachment of extremely mundane but reliable civic responsibility to the banner of socialism is a perfect opportunity for any revolutionary
but too many online ML’s are too busy wholeheartedly rejecting any participation in politics to understand what is being presented
Too much doomerism too much linear thinking
Instead of explaining to people “zohran is a fraud and he will crush any workers movement” it would be better to elaborate that he is proof that “socialism” “works” (this is not socialism and responsible civics always work) but that he is not enough and is merely a stepping stone to the future
People moved on past AOC, they can move on past Mamdani
