Watch, this next episode obi Wan is gonna be confused why vader let him go and it’s gonna lead to him realizing vader still had good in him

    Yeah it makes perfect sense

The fact that the majority of people were left confused pretty much attests to how horribly handled the scene was.

Whole show a mess. But at least it's unintentionally funny.

Yeah right, only moments after showing him snap an innocent kid's neck

Either vader is showing that he’s still conflicted or that he’s wanting more of a fight

Vader clearly just wants to torture and torment Obi-Wan more

Have Obi-Wan always running and hiding and looking over his shoulder

He doesn’t want to just kill Obi-Wan and end it quickly…. I mean he literally can’t kill him lmao… they can’t have Vader kill him then have Obi-Wan show up in ANH

I mean the man seemed pretty obsessed still leading up to that point so the sudden laziness to be like eh f*** it felt off to me

It's been how many years you been having Obi on your mind, you killing civilians, you hunting him down like a dog. You finally got him, you tell the troops bring his ass back Imma torture that boy, then you said oh f*** it i'll get him another day

Bruh you realize they have to stick with the continuity too right, that was set up in ANH and the rest of the OT??

Like Vader can’t kill Obi-Wan in this series lol.

    Unless….

Unless the Obi Wan we meet in ANH is a Rebel CLONE of a dead Obi Wan

Yes yes and Vader doesn’t know this and assumes that Ben survived

Explains the transformation into Alec Guinness

    im joking

Obviously there's no risk with these characters cuz we know they don't die or anything here lol

I'm just saying it felt goofy, like they could've went about that scenario in better ways than putting Vader in a position to have easily captured Obi and reign his torture upon him like you said. However instead he says f*** it lmao. S*** just comes off as silly

Vader was about to let his SON get fried by the Emperor in ROTJ and ONLY then, at the very last second, did he finally get redemption

Btw since u enjoy excusing this horribly written show by quoting the movies, the whole premise of Vader fighting Obi Wan is 100% negated by A New Hope..

Btw bozo, here's the WRITER of the episode talking about it

His choice is revealing the character beneath and the torture beneath – the pain inflicted and the eye-for-an-eye of it all. Vader can’t be talking about, you know, his feelings. So it has to be in action," Harold reveals. "That comes from dragging people down the street behind you to try to pull the Jedi out of hiding, and that comes in inflicting the same pain upon the Jedi that he did to you. It’s awful, but he should be awful. He’s Darth Vader."
