Force Awakens - 6.5/10 (Enjoyed the characters and worldbuilding, but the plot did seem like a safe rehashing of previous plot points)
Last Jedi - 6/10 (This one tears me in two. Some amazing cinematography and high highs..but also some of the worst character decisions of potentially any SW property bar)
Rise Of Skywalker - 3/10 (Absolute trash movie imo. Least redeeming qualities of any SW property. I'd rate every prequel higher than this)
Rogue One - 6.5/10 (tbh even though it had a better and more unique plot than TFA, the characters didn't hit for me. Can't remember a single name)
Solo - 7.5/10 (enjoyed this movie more than most people, I think lol. To me its a genuinely good sci-fi action film. Lots of tension, compelling characters, and good worldbuilding)
And I can't be bothered to do short write-ups for the shows rn but
Mando S1 - 8/10
Mando S2 - 7/10
Boba Fett - 5/10
Obi-Wan (so far) - 6/10Spot on ratings but I think last Jedi should be at least 7.5

goodkid mAAdposterI still can’t believe a series with EWAN MACGREGOR and DARTH VADER as main characters is this disappointing
Disney has ruined Star Wars. Only good thing that came out of them buying Lucasfilm is Mandalorian and Rogue One I guess.
They literally just made 3 terrible sequels and some mid ass shows.
Mandalorian was good in season 1. Season 2 was pure fan service. It wasn't even about Mandalorian. He didn't do s***

Jun 11, 2022·2 repliesI thought the chase scenes was as low as the show can go but the O’Shea scene is even worse. Writers so lazy they didn’t even care to make getting into the base that was so secure they didn’t need shields a challenge at all.

mandolorian was a little overhyped imo, i finally sat down and watched through it last year. there are some good episodes that have that genuine star wars feel to them - but most are simply just episodes that scrape by with nothing really impressive happening.
im in my 20s and grew up with the prequels. yeah, lucas was a s*** director and some of the lines are awful in the PT - but you can look at certain things like the world building and the characters themselves and clearly see a lot of thought and effort was put in.
thats all im asking for, just put your best foot forward and put some effort into it. aside from some mando episodes, these streaming shows are 90% half assed, winged performances just so people will subscribe to the service.
just my opinion, ill die on that hill alone even if everyone disagrees.

i think it was admitted at one point there was no real plan for the ST. they took it 1 episode at a time and had no clue how they were going to connect everything together. just look at finns character, who was the bright spot of TFA imo (him and kylo)
its ridiculous to think about considering we didn't have star wars for 10 years, and the best they could come up with is TFA, which is a reskinned ANH. very few original ideas.
there was no real fleshed out, cohesive plan for the 3 movies. that right there tells you they just planned to make a movie and were banking on the "star wars" brand carrying it at the box office if anything
the lack of effort just screams a cash grab using the star wars name. as far as TLJ, you call them risks, i call them just dumbass decisions that people have tried to pass off as risks.

Finally watched
Christ this show is so s***
- Dude at the beginning refuses to help, immediately changes his mind 20 seconds later for no reason whatsoever
- Obi wan somehow hides in an open hallway clearly in the stormtroopers line of site
- Tala girlbosses it up to the guard and he decides to just let her though. Then her b**** slap on the stormtrooper helmet
- Script is embarrassing, show continues to barely even be about Obi wan
- Reva is god awful as always
- Vader is horrible as well
- We were supposed to care about Wade?

Heavily disagreed in terms of what we are defining as cash grabs then
Specifically in regards to TLJ Finn had a arc that people straight up just didn’t understand at all, I could argue every “dumbass decision” that was made within the film to serve a broader narrative function and fit the wider trilogy narrative.
Rian had a plan and executed his plan, The over arching trilogy was not mapped out properly by KK.
If this had been a cash grab the choices made within the film wouldn’t have been made. Especially the choices for Luke’s character.
