Can't wait to see what s*** they got in store for us. And I don't mean that in a good way.
Sorry but how does this billboard make any sense LOL? None of this has happened yet and there are only 2 episodes left LMFAO
Btw bozo, here's the WRITER of the episode talking about it
His choice is revealing the character beneath and the torture beneath – the pain inflicted and the eye-for-an-eye of it all. Vader can’t be talking about, you know, his feelings. So it has to be in action," Harold reveals. "That comes from dragging people down the street behind you to try to pull the Jedi out of hiding, and that comes in inflicting the same pain upon the Jedi that he did to you. It’s awful, but he should be awful. He’s Darth Vader."

Take your L

And anyone else questioning Vaders actions during their first encounter
From the actors mouth
"In the series, 10 years have passed since Revenge, so what is your process for this iteration of the character? Do you still consider some vestiges from Anakin in him at this time that you wanted to make sure shined through?
Yes, I always see Anakin as a throughline and an undercurrent to this character. Vader is trying his best to kill off that side of him, but there always has to be a little bit of Anakin in there. And that presents itself, and that’s a part of the fun. I’m always thinking about the Anakin aspect of this character.“
: :
“I loved the Mapuzo fight because it reminded me of the duel in A New Hope. The confrontation was more about the meaning of the fight, rather than the battle itself. When your characters fought in Revenge, it was this eye-popping spectacle, but this was slow and deliberate. Can you expand on this from your mind’s eye?
Well, I think that came as a shock to Vader to see how disconnected from the Force Obi-Wan is at this point. I think Vader wants Obi-Wan to be able to put up more of a fight. I don’t want to say too much about what’s to come.“
Still crying at
“The base has no shields.”
“Why?”
“Because anyone would be crazy to attack it.”
so f***ing lazy

Ofc there has to be some Anakin in there otherwise his redemption in ROTJ couldn't happen (the point is that it will only come MUCH later).
But mind you what Hayden says here is more or less his own interpretation of the character which somewhat contradicts what the WRITER of the show said about Vader (basically calling him an eye-for-an-eye force of evil).
Idk about u but I think the mf who pens the script has a more clear idea of the intent behind the characters.

You’re wrong
Actors inform their characters most times more than the writing does and these are discussions that happen on set. The writing just gives the basis.
There was even recent interview with Debrah chow where she said that ewan and Hayden gave input on set on lines or actions that their characters would or wouldn’t say or do.
His interpretation is 100% how it’s portrayed so it’s clear that the intent is the same .

Fair enough. But a lot of people (even some itt) interpreted the scene way differently than you did.
Couple that with the fact that the writer of the show wrote that scene with the intent to present Vader as a vengeful and sadistic character, and it becomes apparent that the whole thing isn't as clear as you so boldly claim it is.
if ima be honest the whole sequel trilogy could’ve been about luke training the next jedi with rey and kylo being among them. Kylo still goes dark in the second and rey is the only one who survives and by the third they face off. Not even any need for a first order or bringing palpatine back
Why can WE think of these things, but a creative team can't???

studio politics tbh
So what's the verdict on this show? Worth the watch?
if youre into bad writing, bad cgi, bad acting, bad action... this is for you

real for your avi

Disney fired Michael Arndt when he asked for more time to write because they wanted to meet the 2015 deadline (return of investment for the shareholders after buying the whole thing), then Lucasfilms hired JJ to direct (rejected it the 1st time) and write it with Kasdan.
Then they moved the release date to December because JJ requested more time to take the job (he wanted one full year, May 2016).
Rey was called Kira at one point lol

They're putting out this dogshit on purpose, not on accident

STAR WARS IS KNOWN FOR BEING CAMPY LMAO. HAVEN'T YOU SEEN THAT ONE SCENE WHERE THE STORM TROOPER BANGS HIS HEAD?!?!?!?!?!?
Adam Driver deserved this
it could’ve been a much more emotional story that connected him and rey even more. They can still have rey be palpatines granddaughter without bringing him back from the dead just by having luke know and not telling her the truth. And somehow make that connection be the reason Kylo was influenced by the dark side so much
