lucas did the first 3 and then successfully did the 3 prequels and tied everything in. lucas isnt there anymore and there isn't anyone that has that level of vision and creativity to come up with a new saga.
they struggled to connect the sequels, and that was them pretty much with a blank slate and ability to do whatever they wanted. lucas did a better job storytelling wise with the prequels, and yet he had all the limitations due to the movies having to eventually make sense and sync in with A New Hope.
as long as they dont do something dumb as f***, which they will at some point i bet, id say just let them keep doing vader stuff
