You may be right but I'm not criticizing "girl bosses". I love Trilla and Cere.
I just hate how they did Kenobi. The story is suppose to be about him and Vader and his internal struggle. Instead, we got a save the child series with a person we've already seen in a video game (Reva)
Did we see Reva in a video game? Not saying we didn’t i just don’t remember the lore quite as well.
I would say my main criticism with Leia child is that I’m sick and tired of the “protagonist baby sits child for a good portion of the show” in these SW shows

Reva's character just seems like what Trilla is with some minor changes
And I agree with the Leia criticism

like i have zero interest in any further Mandalorian because of that.
And yeah you raise a good point on the Trilla comparison

Bro I just replayed through all of Fallen Order over the past week and Trilla is such a better character than Reva it’s not even close

And she got literally half of the screen time Reeva has gotten
Top 3 SW Characters for me
1. Darth Vader (whole saga)
2. Luke Skywalker (whole saga
3. Kylo Ren (The Force Awakens/ The Last Jedi)
A perfect example of actual cringe girl boss corporate moments in these kind of films is
!https://youtu.be/-sfC3bV2DL0Really corny moment that was unneeded
!https://youtu.be/L7Y0ucw7bGk^ really on the nose and cringe
I thought the endgame scene was cool I know I would've liked seeing that as a kid back then would've been really nice, good message for little girls

First clip has more to do with her being Egyptian than a female but yeah was pretty cringe

It’s not that it’s not a good message it’s more so it’s just so corporate and cringe that it actually is a good criticism for how forced that kind of thing can be.
All i’m saying strictly

Kids don't give a s*** about these things lol they just wanna see cool super heroes doing cool stuff
It's our fault for taking these films so seriously when they clearly aren't meant to be
And I'd rather have women characters actually doing stuff in movies instead of just being there to be pretty and targeted by s***jokes like they used to do with Leia and Black Widow

Agreed. I would take the cringe over the more problematic things you mentioned

I feel like we're still in an Era where things are changing and shifting, so yeah some things might feel a bit shoehorned in, there are a lot of exemples of movies made in the past years that try to go in the girl power bag but fail miserably at it and I feel like the biggest problem is that Hollywood at its core is a s***ty place and shouldn't be the main driving force behind it, executives and producers don't give a f*** about anything other than making money... I think the real driving force for positive change and progress in movies and TV should be the creatives, writers, directors, etc.

Agreed, the best way to insert all of these great progressive things is to do it in a way where it feels very natural and fitting with the narrative.

Definitely and I feel like as long as most big projects are handled by executives instead of creatives we won't see that
Dude this show sucks and it makes no sense. How does f***ing Reva know the Big friggin cyborg is Anakin? 😂 how is she alive after getting stabbed? She’s had 10 years to take Vader down why did she wait so long? 😂 the story makes no sense and this show has changed so many things up. No one is supposed to know who Vader is but Reva and Organa know? Lmfaooo
I didn’t watch the new episode yet…

What tends to annoy me is even some of the most problematic people i know who have some very big sexist & racist tendencies in them they love narratives like BCS with great amazing well written women & minorities in the show.
Feels like that’s the power of great narratives that weave in these things very naturally.

It is the best episode of the show which isn’t saying too much

Show is great. Fans are just annoying nitpickers
Besides some cringe chases and shorty cgis it’s been a great journey. I just think the show suffers by being weekly because every episode isn’t very contained

George said it from Day 1 these movies are primarily aimed at Kids.
