Damn, never expected this. Hopefully its just for nintendo published titles and the nintendo developed ones are physicals, although at the end of the day its not a huge deal (not that i care about pokopia personally)
Also I feel like I never had to charge the pro controller 1 and now I feel like i always have to charge the pro controller 2 lol. It’s like the battery drains when I’m not using it
I'm not having this problem

I'm not having this issue at all. The 80 hour battery life seems right to me

It’s time
Absolutely bonkers that the Mario movie gets a direct, Kirby Air Riders gets 2 directs, and Metroid Prime 4, a game they announced almost a decade ago, only gets a couple of trailers.

Come on now, it got 5 trailers, previews coming on friday, dozen of demo previews all over the world for months, holiday ads, the most effort put into a switch 2 edition, this is the most a game from a series that at its peak had a game selling 3 million copies gets. Im a big fan as well but no other company is putting all these marketing resources on such a niche series. It certainly wont be a direct that'll change someone's mind atp, it'll be ads and word of mouth, as it always is with niche games.
I do expect a overview trailer thought, direct was never happening for a 20/25 hour exploration based game

every trailer about that game has just been "ooo samus has magic powers" and then when you see it in action its just used for opening doors
even this whole bike thing is silly when you realize what samus is already capable of doing with her armor
i just don't get the point of reviving a series from 15 years ago (on top of the fact that they didnt even bother porting the rest of them to the switch) just to give it the most barebones marketing all because it doesnt do mario/zelda/pokemon numbers. im not even asking for them to put prime 4 billboards around the world or something but it literally would cost them nothing to do a 40 minute showcase of that game

It’s also got a bunch of amiibo so it must be an important release to Nintendo to a certain extent
They could’ve put together trailers much better to get people properly hyped though.

A 40 minute showcase would be showing deadass 10% of the main campaign, these arent long games lol, and considering what you do in prime games spoiling all that would be detrimental imo.
I do agree that the marketing wasnt always on point, but id say thats a result of what these games are. Its hard to convey to a casual audience that you play these games to immerse in these alien worlds figuring out where to go next.
MP4 marketing has been a case of trial and error to see what sticks, and ironically the solution was (like they did with the first one actually) to basically lie to the public by making it look a lot more action oriented than it really is.
I wont judge the bike before playing the game, we'll have to see what it adds to the gameplay.
But my original point is they are trying to market this game a lot and have been since june 2024 in their way, its just that this game in particular has fans microanalyze every single decision (and lack of) so it feels like they not trying. Bananza was announced with a trailer, they released a direct and then boom it dropped in the span of 3 months. No other publisher advertises their games like this, bananza marketing would've been considered bad by any other standard, and yet it worked.
Ultimately if beyond doesnt sell a lot it will be due to the game itself and it being the 4th numerical entry in the series, not the lack of marketing (this is also why i think that if they really want to grow the series they need retro to start from scratch with their next Metroid, but still keeping it 3d)
I also don't think Nintendo has high expectations for this, and it "flopping" wont end the series or retro. They arent known for their unreasonable expectations on software sales.
As a fan i just hope that its a fantastic game worth the wait, theres literally nothing like metroid prime
It’s interesting that there’s a scene from the desert world in Odyssey in the Galaxy movie, I wonder if that means there won’t be an odyssey movie, or if it’s a subtle hint that there will be
Also jack blacks shirt felt like a desert world reference too
