MattMIf we get a full on OoT remake, that really is the greatest gaming news possible, for me.
I haven't played OoT since playing the Master Quest back on my GC in like '05. Been wanting to replay it ever since.Hopefully, if it's successful, we get MM, as well.
i only ever played the 3ds version as a kid when it dropped but the amount of hours i put into it summer i’ll never forget

Nintendo is depending a lot on third parties for 2026. No General Direct planned until June 2026. - Star Fox will return as a Switch 2 exclusive in 2026. Classic Starfox with Online Multiplayer.
- Splatoon Raiders, Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave, Rhythm Heaven Groove, and a new Switch Sports are bound for Summer 2026. - Pikmin 4 and Xenoblade 2 Switch 2 Editions are planned for 2026. - Duskbloods is coming out later in 2026. - No 3D Mario in 2026, it's a 2027 game. Specifically mentions that he doesn't think it has anything to do with GTA VI.
- Ocarina of Time Remake for Switch 2 launching H2 2026. - Last he heard, FF9 Remake was still on "ice". As far as he's heard, there's been no movement with it.

I think part of it is that he waits until he's 100% sure before sharing info, so he might have known about star fox for weeks and months but didnt choose to share that info until now after fox was revealed to be in mario galaxy. But hearing reassurance about some speculated releases is still valuable imo, especially with this company

Considering that March is almost over and they ain't said a word I feel like they may indeed hold out until June. Not ruling out smaller Directs (Partners, Indies or game-specific Directs) in the meantime but they just might be saving the big one for June. If there's no general Direct in April (which is a month I don't recall them ever having a general Direct in - at least not in the Switch era) then they are definitely waiting until June.

nah ocarina definitely needs it. Controls are clunky, constantly navigating menus is slow, story would be better with voice acting, etc.
super metroid remake is exciting because look how good the remake of Metroid 1 and 2 were
