Felt like ep 1 lacked the One Piece humor tho

My sister has been gassing this up since they started dropping trailers, so I've been following it. How the hell did I just now find out this was a series

I thought it was a movie this entire time.

And if we count comics too its only 2nd to Superman, sold more than Batman
The anime also still going strong and getting better

I‘l haven’t watched the anime but I saw the first episode of the live action and it was fire.
Some weird camera angles and some cgi, especially when luffy was stretching his arms, looked weird but I liked the chemistry between the 3 leads, I’m looking forward to watching the rest of the season and maybe Starting the anime soon

I’ve never watched the anime either but I’m lowkey considering giving this a watch

Loved the LA. The deviations were really good to move along the story. Gave us more Bogard, Buggy was amazing, Zeff was perfectly cast and young Sanji in that flashback absolutely killed it. I understand why they skipped Loguetown but man that leaves a sting.

The pace they’re going with makes me think season 2 will probably be just the build up to alabasta.

loguetown, grand line, laboon,meeting chopper and viví. Then ending with them leaving for alabasta. Makes the most sense as alabasta is the first long arc of the series

Literally only five minutes in and assumed Lougetown was for sure gonna be included since they had to build the set for Roger's execution
