Lately with Ig/IGShare/Instagram reels, copying and pasting the URL as is will cause your IG to be doxxed since it declares it as a Share, and lets whoever clicks on the link know your @, handle, and Profile pic.

Saw someone in the music sxn make that mistake the other day, but i notice some folks have still been doing that.

Usually any social media site link with a ? in it, can usually be erased from then on to the end, and still work. But it wont track you/potentially doxx you. More sites have been doing this as of late, so I just thought I put this out for the fam just so you know. love yall

Facebook has a semi-private version of this where links to posts include a PFBID (Pseudonymized Facebook Identifier) that embeds an encrypted version of your account information, timestamp, and the post you are linking to in one string. Looks like this:
https://www․facebook․com/username/posts/pfbid1234567ABC...
People who click on the link don't get your info, but Facebook itself can decrypt the PFBID at any time to find out who shared the link and when.

Because the PFBID includes your account information and the post ID jumbled up together, you can't just cut out the account information and make an anonymous link like with Instagram.

What you can do (if you are on PC) is go to the post you want to share, view page source, CTRL+F for 'post_id' and look for a string like this:
"post_id":"1692015353960291"
Copy that number and rewrite your link as:
https://www․facebook․com/username/posts/1692015353960291
or just:
https://www․facebook․com/posts/1692015353960291
(the username part of the URL is technically not necessary, because every post has a unique ID)
This is a direct link to the post with no embedded tracking information.

This is what I do if I want to archive politicians' FB posts on archive.today or whatever. Basically any powerful person with lawyers who could call up FB and get your info because you saved that tweet of them saying the N word 10 years ago
