you don't think he's dropping out before pre-production ends?
No bro, lol remain positive. I know he was suppose to do that Lancer mini series and dropped out....but....with the Hollywood sequel ending up happening I have hope
1930s cameras as in getting the Mitchell cameras or just the lenses lol
I’ve been saying for years when everyone complained about and/or doubted his “10
Film” rule, that he was going to stick to it, but he’d instead move onto doing television, literature, and theater. He’s had an idea for a 30’s gangster film for a while, but now he can realize it in a more appropriate format.
Edit: Looking through the thread and people are still complaining. SMH.
You think a series format will suit Tarantino better than film?
I’m so in on this
Can’t wait to hear of who’s gonna be cast
Casablanca era mobsters written by tarentino and co directed with him and Stallone
So next lets get the Kill Bill 3-4 sequels as a mini series.
Django Zorro mini series.
Star Trek mini series.
Vega brothers animated mini series
Don’t forget the film critic limited series
Nothing has topped seeing OUATIH in the theatres… nothing
That car chase at the end DEMANDS to be seen in theaters
Edit: wrong movie don’t mind me
Don’t forget the film critic limited series
Didn't that get rewritten over and over until it morphed into the Cliff Booth sequel?

Car chase?
idk how to feel about stallone but this sound fire
Stallone had talent and tarentino will be there to steer him away from any “ROCKY IN THE ____” type temptations that used to plague his movie writing/producing

S*** you right I keep forgetting cliff booth was involved in that originally lol
Car chase?
Lmao the PTA discussion had me assuming the initials were for one battle after another

its QT era now

he shooting with the same cameras that Mervyn Leroy used for Little Caesar
its QT era now
Reaching the last movie really opened us up to more QT material than we ever get on a regular basis, a whole cinematic universe

You think Tarantino ready for the tv series world?
This is never coming out btw
You think Tarantino ready for the tv series world?
As long as it’s a streaming service without censorship like Netflix/hbo he ll be fine
Hateful 8 was practically a mini series, the extended version actually was one lol. Only danger is him going overboard with his excesses due to the increased screentime
He d lose his mind doing shows for network tv tho lmao

Hateful 8 extended was definitely like a mini series and I prefer it over the film length.
I see it as him having more time to explore characters and longer dialogue scenes

Yup
Kill bill the whole bloody affair is pretty much structured like one as well with the chapters, change in tone/style and all
You think a series format will suit Tarantino better than film?
It depends on the material. I think Django would have been stronger as a series. A sprawling 30’s gangster film could lend itself to television. Think Boardwalk Empire.
