The Red Rising series by Pierce Brown is a science fiction saga that begins with the original trilogy: Red Rising, Golden Son, and Morning Star, following Darrow's rebellion against a color-coded caste system on Mars. This is followed by a second trilogy (sometimes called a tetralogy) that continues the story with Iron Gold, Dark Age, and Light Bringer, with a final book, Red God, expected to conclude the saga.

I’ve finished the first trilogy. Golden Son was my favorite of the first three I think. GS > MS > RR. I did like the trilogy but don’t know if it’s a favorite series of mine just off those three books and was kind of content to just leave it there. However, I will read the second trilogy next year before Red God comes out. Most discourse I see about them is that Brown’s writing greatly improved in books 4-6, so I’m excited to see how the plot moves forward and if he truly did level up as an author
