I just blew through the rest of Morning Star tonight and man… that was absolutely incredible. seriously, I haven’t had a book keep me up late locked in ever. I’m really debating if I like it more than Golden Son. I have the 4th book ready to go, but I’m going to take a nice little break before I hop back into this PEAK series

In the mean time you’d also really like the Sun Eater series by Chris Ruocchio I think. You should check it out.

It’s comparable to RR but very different in plot, pacing, and writing styles. It’s a lot more introspective and philosophical. I personally like it a little bit more as of right now.

just started Iron Gold

the different point of views are def fresh, just not f\*\*\*ing with lyria rn, feels like the same story as darrow in early book 1, but maybe that's the point: nothing's changed

I felt like that with Lyria in the beginning too, but trust... its worth it and it gets better

You get it. It is a big reason why Iron Gold is one of my favorites in the series. the multiple povs allow pierce brown to worldbuild like he was never really able to with Darrow. What is this world like when you are not at war? When you are not fighting on the front lines? We wouldnt know because Darrow is war incarnate.

love that about this book so far bro. really gets me engaged back in this world when I was only used to a handful of characters in the original trilogy.
