Amazing list btw. New World, Thin Red Line, Heat, Godfather and Goodfellas are all films I would seriously consider for a position in the top 10. Hopefully will be able to catch Sweet Smell of Success on the big screen next year.
@FlyHiii
Scorpio Rising is good af. I strongly recommend checking a handful of Kenneth Anger's short films on youtube for anyone who isn't already familiar!
I like lists but I also like this short manifesto against lists by Elena Gorfinkel. I wonder if they polled her lol. I want her list tbh

Revenant I could interchange with any of my top 4 Malick movies tbh.
It's absolutely beautiful, that's my main praise for it. The revenge narrative (done well) and Leo's best performance.

I would go with:
Stalker
Lawrence of Arabia
There Will Be Blood
Once Upon A Time in The West
Barry Lyndon
Seven Samurai
Aguirre, The Wrath of God
Vertigo
Hero
The Revenant
real for hero
I always struggle with these lists because idk if I should prioritize the 10 movies that had the most significant impact on me or the 10 I’ve seen that have a reasonable claim to being the best movie I’ve ever seen
I’m saying this to preemptively justify the wedding singer being in my top 10
LMAOOO that list Gaspar and me are kino twins just like me and backlava
Did someone say......BACK LAVA?!?!!?

I rate Mike Leigh so highly as a director, I think his list is one of the best ones
