Colin Furth’s character is the most infuriating when I think about it, he done all that just to sit down???
Im seeing this tmr or saturday but very intrigued by the reviews. Either people really loved it or they think it was ass

Lmfaooo
Hot damn Spielberg’s still got it. That last 25 minutes was way more captivating than it had any right to be.
I kept waiting for a reveal that this was officially a Close Encounters sequel. But I swear I saw Devil’s Tower among the footage at the end. It’s a sequel to me
what’s the cinema equivalent of “this could’ve been an email” ? this could’ve been a netflix original? anyways, that’s how i’m feeling. NOT GOOD!

It felt underbaked to me. Like it should have picked a lane focus on the religious aspect/the social aspect/the “government” response
it also never really made me care about what they were doing. They tried to use the WW3 background as an accent to amplify the importance of this, but idk if they did enough to make me care. They portrayed the aliens as weak in the hands of humans so it’s not like an Independence Day thing where the aliens are immensely capable. So they can’t run the “aliens are a threat, we need to band together” narrative.
Switched to the furious for tonight and this tomorrow night now
Really liked this
helped that I lowered expectations for how much an actual Alien movie it is lol this isn’t War Of The Worlds
loved how it just sends you in. It plays like you’re expecting a black screen that says 2 days earlier or something lol
Had an issue with one actress (Obvs not Blunt who killed it) but I’ll get into that later
this was not for me at all lol
this was not for me at all lol
Was Emily blunt as stiff as she was in the trailer

Finally, the review I needed to see to know that this is Dogshit

Lmao exactly what I thought “oh we about to go back a few days here soon”
But honestly I love when movies just throw you right in and you gotta play catch up

exactly. too much was going on. the girlfriend of Josh O connor’s character was useless and annoying as well

I gave it 3 stars because that third act almost saves it. i will say there is some BEAUTIFUL cinematography and shots in here and there’s a car chase scene that was great
