rolling stone like pitchfork and other major music publications has always used the heat of the moment to be contrarian and generate attention... It's usually always one of the major outlets doing something completely out of line just to stay relevant (even fantano does it, think of the fiona or mbdtf review)

there are tons of albums where rolling stone, pitchfork, fantano, or whoever took contrarian views compared to public opinion... you just picked an artist you hate who also happens to be a billionaire to claim she "bought reviews" while most other outlets were less positive about the album, it's pretty obvious where you're coming from, dude... you're not fooling anyone
