kinda sad. Cole need a better team around him or something. Album couldve done way more imo

Yeah its not a bad album at all. Just think the general public moved on from him. Similar to Weeknd nowadays

he waited too long and the hype passed him by.

well, not fully, but if he dropped it at any point from 2022 to 2024 he probably would have sold better in the short and long term.

Ehh, Hurry Up Tomorrow lasted 67 weeks on the Billboard 200, this Fall-Off departure is some other s***

Second time you’ve posted this, and the two posts still have no correlation.

Did The Fall-Off have a great first week because of huge pure sales? Yes.

Was The Fall-Off a successful album overall? No, it departed the Billboard 200 after less than five months.

The fact that you think these two posts somehow contradict each other is crazy

It’s crazy too because Fall-Off is probably his best studio album in 12 years, but there’s no hit single so pretty much no one outside of his core fanbase returned to it

Not even the deep cuts were catchy it was nothing to latch onto

those love songs he put on the second disc were wack and the bangers felt kinda forced

Cole put himself in a weird position when he started exclusively focusing on his raps for the fall off era cause it definitely made his overall song writing skills tank, which showed in the "hit" attempts on that album. Two Six was not it and none of those singing songs were either.

The Off Season also had no "hits" but it also didn't really attempt any. Plus it being wayyy shorter made it more digestible, focused, and it was just an all around better project, IMO.

insane this is what we getting on Off Season vs what we got on Fall Off

  • nothing could have saved coles rollout
the way he handled the beef just lost him some fans, it was never gonna be the same as pre beef.

all the interviews didnt help his case either.

Bruh, music is an art in all cultures. Communication doesn't always have to be art, but all art is communication. That's how we're able to absorb and digest what we take in with our senses. Art communicates bruh. Music itself is an art regardless of what you think the Beatles did. And besides, strictly speaking, 99% of music discussed here is art. Rarely we speak about anything outside of your framework for spiritual or communication focused music.

Yeah and I think that the reason for that is because the past couple centuries of music have overemphasized the artistic framing of music and abandoned the other ones.
