Probably will become too long, and TV space costs (as in the longer the costier) though I've no idea lol

Maybe he'll do a "radio edit" short clip for broadcasting, and then something cheesy titled "director's cut" / "Abel's version" / "Abel's vision" and put it pn youtube

His obsession with films is praiseworthy (he's quite dedicated at the countless references) but as a listener I give priority to the content of his music. Thus said, if only he showed the same dedication at expanding his musical horizons, same dedication to reference the music's greatest compositions and incorporate them to his sound, he would cement himself among the greatest artists -- not among the best selling singers/entertainers, among the greatest musicians; -- it may not sound like a lot but it is. It's tremendous. It's a tremendous gulf.

Couple of years? Currently I don't think he can afford to disappear for a few years, he hasn't reached that stage of super-stardom

He did release singles/loosies/or appeared in guest features.

Plus, "dissapeared" is one way of saying it. "Dropped at least 80% tracks that didn't hold replay value" is also another way of saying it lol

idk why you put 2020 because thats when After Hours dropped.

He was pretty inactive 2017-2019 especially for a star of his caliber,features dont really matter in the public eye and a lot of those we're pretty lowkey,a hook here and there.

Only Pray for Me and Lost In the Fire we're "events" and even then his presence was down low
Also I don't think he needs to go ghost at all but thats a different discussion

you are tripping if you think he hasn't disappeared before. He basically skipped 2018 with scrapping the album and just dropping MDM. He sacrificed the transition to streaming era that was happening in 2018. if he dropped an album back then, he would have been even bigger probably. 2018 was a crucial year for streaming and he was one of the biggest streaming artists before that.

Scrapping material is good, and almost always is a sure-fire way to do wonders to the replayability of the songs one puts out. Kendrick wrote and scrapped 3 albums worth of material before dropping GKMC or TPAB (I don't remember which lol).
Michael and Quincy recorded ~30 songs before picking the best of the best, to make the tracklist of Thriller
