HDMI 2.0 and no FSR 4. This thing is not doing 4k
This box is just mid but I feel like a contrarian because I’m seeing love…for what tho? Idgi
Steam Monopoly got folks in a mild chokehold
I wish we got this like 5 years ago
I already own so many games on ps5 that switching over to this as my main console would feel like a waste, otherwise I totally would get this

The console for sure seems novel. I think like somebody else in the thread said, the big ticket was the headset whereas the console is just fluff.

The library continuity is going to be so elite moving forward though. One game purchase and save state for handheld + docked + VR

i feel you, but it's not for us, which is a good thing. assuming they advertise it heavily and/or finally provide it to brick and mortar suppliers, this is to court an entirely new customer base. and based off what im seeing with the specs, it'll be competitively priced, which is very much a good thing. trust the process. if they do this right, it will be amazing for gaming as a medium and artform and we will all reap the benefits of that.

Deadlock is shown
It shows 2 games

plus steam has so many sales you could absolutely build your library from scratch in a pretty substantial way pretty quickly. also the family sharing feature is amazing so you could start out joining a family with a friend who has a much bigger library if you can

I think I'm a Valve fanboy now
I think I'm a Valve fanboy now
don't get it twisted, valve is a horrible company in a lot of ways. and as soon as Gabe dies all of this pro consumer s*** could come crashing down along with their current agenda assuming he doesn't have some kind of plan in place. you shouldn't be a fanboy of any company (i know you're probably half joking).
but hell, better to be a fanboy of them than nintenscam sony or microshit. valve clears those f*** niggas, that's for sure.
Valve on steam deck 2:
We're not interested in getting to a point where it's 20 or 30 or even 50% more performance at the same battery life. We want something a little bit more demarcated than that. So we've been working back from silicon advancements and architectural improvements, and I think we have a pretty good idea of what the next version of Steam Deck is going to be, but right now there's no offerings in that landscape, in the SoC System on a Chip landscape, that we think would truly be a next-gen performance Steam Deck

people wanted the strix halo to be this but battery technology is not where it needs to be to make that a reality

So many people would have done this with the Steam Deck, I know I did
Steam is f***ing goated, it's definitely ruined other platforms for me including the Switch 2
