Not enough of an upgrade to switch but still cool
I sold my og switch and used the money to get the oled switch and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. Oled does so much for pixel clarity, it’s tricking my brain into feeling like im playing at a higher resolution. Also you can keep screen brightness much lower because of how the oled is more vivid, so in practice even though it’s the same battery it’ll last longer

Oh I just mean like in terms of the 3-12 hour range, in most settings after like 5pm you can play with the OLED quite low because it’s so vivid and bright naturally, and with lower brightness you’re more likely to get closer to the higher range of battery life on average
Also I think the oled display be more power efficient in general
Digital foundry loves it lol says the best screen on any handheld and proper HDR
How easy is it to get pirated games on this?
Thinking about selling my hacked oled switch for the oled(I know that it can emulate the switch)

Very very very easy
Dammit
I didn't care about the OLED screen but hearing about the 50% more battery got me feelin some type of way
They dropped this at a smart time because switch 2 isn’t dropping until September at the earliest it seems

Yeah no doubt from the original deck it’s an upgrade
Gonna see if I can trick anyone to buy my 512gb steam deck for $500 and I’ll upgrade lol

This is the way
I could live with 40 fps
40 fps tbh underrated.
Best of both worlds
Just played Spiderman 2 at 40fps and had 0 complaints.
I think what makes the Switch so special is the fact that most of the games made for it are perfect for a portable gaming console. I don't think it would with just any game.
Expecting it to be another failed attempt at hardware like the Steam Link and Steam Machines
This is gonna flop like all the other valve hardware
In for the eventual flop

No lying. Might have to sell my current one to a friend and upgrade
still cant see the purpose of the Steam Deck
barely even use my Switch handheld
maybe for kids?
