I hear these criticisms about guys like Kendrick and Danny Brown a lot but to me their weird voices just gives the music character.

What is a bad instrument?

As a huge fan of Kendrick, his voice is one of the weakest points. One example being with Humble, where he’s like”Sit down, beeamboo” and it surely makes a bad impression on a new hip hop fan.

Same goes for Lupe Fiasco, they just sound…weak and “beta” for the lack of better term. Eminem, Drake, Snoop exert this dominant and strong vibe just off their voice alone.

I’m thinking more of delivery tbh, but it effects HOW they project their voice a lot

Personal preference tbh. I was never a fan of very normal rap voices. Jack Harlow just came directly to my mind. Hearing him on a song just doesn't move me
