    Me with Yeezus

I think Yeezus would have been received better on release if it was structured differently, half of the album is similar to what he already did on MBDTF and 808s - a good chunk of the Yeezus songs were actually around and worked on since MBDTF to WTT and CS, some of them even meant or thought of for those projects such as the Cudi song on Yeezus was first meant for WTT with more Cudi vocals and a jay verse without the outro bit of the reggae sample n techno drums - and other songs shifted around too after the dumbass Rubin cut

It's funny tho cuz a lil after Yeezus Kanye felt the same way that Yeezus would have been accepted better if it was structured differently and had like Blood on the Leaves as the intro, which was the og Intro for it but he decided to change it and the tracklisting order on purpose to be more "disruptive" and to go against expectations or the norm standard he had set

I've never ended up liking a song I genuinely dislike

Although I have grown more fond towards some songs I'm neutral for or don't care for

I see the vision now tho so it's a good thing he kept it that way

I know, that's what I got into in my 2nd follow up reply to op

The "exposure effect" is also not a natural thing people do anyways, it's a thing from radio and clubs, but it goes further than just "repeating" and it can't be tirelessly or else you'll get the opposite effect - and you have to have some kind of attraction to the genre of soundscape it's part of already too

Radio 's "exposure effect" works with associating a song hour neutral or don't really care for with memories of the road and radio chatter to get you to hopefully relate it to fonder memories that will then boomerang into you "thinking" you had a better time with the song than you did - and it also works this way in radio because radio (mainstream radio) purpose is to play songs they think is the most applicable to the most people, so even if Pop isn't your fav genre for example, pretty much everyone likes something from the Pop soundscape and format, thus a higher chance for you to "like" the song eventually and more importantly to at least tolerate it enough to where you WONT change the radio channel or turn it off completely

Just like you allude too, its more complex and layered than just "listening over and over again"
