Sold a million its first month but I assume the backend was horrible, PS5 port has only sold something like 50k. Makes sense why they’d be an easy choice for a closure.
At best they make 7/10s. South of midnights best parts show a lot of promise, they just couldn’t keep that quality consistently. Still sucks they don’t get another chance

Oh I agree 100 % but this new wave of ignorant gamers not supporting a game lead by a black woman . Also it’s a singleplayer game no multiplayer . That it’s not like they are pushing merch , tv show , animated series . It’s just tough competition and some games should launch as cheaper smaller ideas

Obsidian is a good studio but I can see them downscaling after Avowed and outer worlds flopped. Then they will be put to immediate work on a new Fallout.

These studios don’t have the cash to buy themselves out. If they do they have enough to float the employees while they make a new game? I don’t suspect they do. They would need external funding and investment
