I mean all that lore was revealed years back in the YouTube series. It ls one of the most important aspects of the Backrooms
I didnt know this was based on a web series
like man it’s surreal seeing the backrooms on a huge theater screen
the part when they all started dying and it was the handheld cam was so sick and the dinner scene PHEW CREEPY AF
I’m convinced i’m getting messed with a bit I’ve never had an experience like this at any movie really
https://twitter.com/brookstweetz/status/2060775824060567985nah this is true ive had some of the worse movie experiences recently
but this movie wasn’t bad at all theater was sold out too
Yeah I hope for the sequal he does another story of someone noclipping and trying to escape the OG monster
Seated, see you on the other side
I liked it! Acting was great, the vibe, the soundtrack, some shots reminded me of Better Call Saul in a good way
Did I get it wrong or at the end they left the doctor there so the place can make new rooms?
The mental health thing was a good angle
Tfw the backrooms version of Clark's wife starts running for her life when Captain Clark pulls up
Damn
i need this on blu-ray
I’m hoping A24 goes all out on their 4K physical release . It would be dope af if the physical case is covered in the Backrooms wallpaper design

Mmmm. I don't know if the company knows they can intentionally do that yet. I just figured it naturally happened because of how stressed she was.
They marketed this movie well. I wanna see it so bad
Taking my girl to watch obsession today and I’ll watch Backrooms with friends after.

I think that based on how the movie says it, her memories/double will be there regardless because the space ends up absorbing your psyche/memories into itself. I do like the idea of ASYNC purposefully turning people into that though. Thought it was also cool how she ends up being a dark parallel to her mother as well; frozen still like she was in the asylum, and stuck inside the room like her mother wanted her to be, unable to "break her loop" just like in her adult life
Watching this high in theatres was scarily immersive
Especially in the furniture store
We all been in eerie stores like that
