Hip hop has had a hyper masculinity edge since the 90s. Like I said its a slow road but a lot of has to do with outside societal factors.

Yeah but she’s completely full of s***. The reality is people just don’t care about electronic music like that. The industry never sank its fangs into the genre.
Reality is she’s one of the top 2 electronic artists that have been pushed this decade. Reality is she played at Glastonbury. Reality is she’s a pop star and wanted to say something to get into headlines.
If she really cared about the struggle then she could’ve used the platform of the interview to give examples of others who struggle with her.
But people like Jayda G are beloved and have gotten to play at Movement, boiler room, etc.
