I just cut on some rylo

  • Mar 14

yea it's pretty much all the way dead at this point, hopefully someone brings it back in a cool way in the future but rn pretty much everyone still trying to do it that way are old and stale and not selling s*** (not that sales = quality, but as far as being "dead" goes, it matters)

that being said, if ur really craving that, just go find some old albums you haven't heard before.

    Nah, I'd probably be happy.

This new generation of rappers have literally no competition because the bar is so low. Even the guys we considered wack as f*** in like 2012 would be running circles around because these kids now don't care about lyrics or anything aside from vibes in their music.

Like I said I think I've just aged out of this s*** and it's fine, I'm not even complaining. Just think it's funny lol

I'm an out of touch 33 year old and I can't for the life of me get into any of these new gen guys. I get that maybe I'm not their target audience but it really feels like there is nobody under the age of like 25 making rap music that is just focused primarily on lyrics, bars, punchlines, and everything else that was cool a decade+ ago. Even if there are they don't seem to be breaking outside of their bubble of an audience.

Not here to complain about the current state of music but maybe there are some younger people here who can put me onto some guys that are making this type of music?

stickerbush and heavnsouls like 20? How are they not lyrical

The thing that sucks is most of these guys were on the 'come up' 5+ years ago

F*** the come up all it does is destroy the art

Hip-hop has been pimped and exploited for so long I’d be happy if it never went mainstream again. Let the party die
