30 isn’t middle aged nor is it old , but if you’re in your 30s you shouldn’t be acting like the 20 years olds. There’s things you can still do because everyone is allowed to have fun but there’s a lot you had to leave behind in your 20’s
mind you this was 2006 and looked at as desperate at the time, but tbh he wasn't wrong. when we look at how society has evolved, most people aren't really hitting their stride in their careers or even lifestyles until their 30s. most people in their 20s can't afford to live without roommates or their parents, and likely don't have kids. (especially men) meanwhile a fair amount of the older generation have childhood memories when their parents were in their 20s and 30s.
Maybe I'm just becoming an oldhead, but even when we look at rap today, the most popping guys in their 20s are YB and Tecca ( two extreme anomalies who blew up as teens). Maybe Rod Wave.
But almost everyone else making great Hip-Hop music that really moves the needle is in their 30s or older.
Underrated album

It’s not about acting like you’re 20, it’s about the fact that the 20 something olds aren’t really seen as leading the charge or achieving the same level of success as previous generations

Damn this song hits diff when you're older.
It's actually crazy going back and listening to all the s*** you overlooked as a kid, it's like discovering totally new music.
Tbh yea ur early 20s is gon be fkn grind if youve gotta chip on ur shoulder
Some don’t even begin to truly enjoy the fruits of their labour until well into their 30s early 40s ngl
10-20 years of grinding to live the rest of life on easy mode sounds like a good trade off if u ask me tho
Easy mode
It’s just a new wave atm. The focus is on female pop/hyperpop and that’s about it.
In 2012 the keys of rap were handed to Kendrick, drake, Travis Scott, future and j cole.
In 2016 the opportunity was then handed to 21 savage, Kodak Black. Uzi and Cardi B.
The drop off is huge and we’re back were we are 13 years later wanting only a Drake, Kenny, Travis Scott, Future and j Cole albums.
Carti could never carry the rap game as he’s too diverse and you either hate him or love him. The female rap game is just a mess and there’s Jack Harlow who
Completely blew it on his debut album.
