Galaxy 2 is incredible it’s my first time so the faceship flying to world 2 animation just brought back memories from when we first did that in odyssey, I realize now that’s a callback to this

Super tempted especially as I've never played the Galaxy series but I gotta beat Hades 2 at least once first lol

arceus and za are going to be insanely different in basically every factor

arceus is a great game for a casual adult player. it was basically what the non-competitive/hardcore side of players had been begging for for like a decade

Im still taking 2 days off to play ZA lol. but I think I wont like it as much as I liked SV, but I liked SV because of the more hardcore tools it gave us - which 99% of adults dont give a s*** about anyways.

Its going to be amazing for most of the fanbase though, I just personally dont think I will like the live action battling but idk. I like the customization, and I hope online play will be sick

theres nothing for them to update aside from very basic graphic chnages, maybe (?)

its a fully complete game that was completed years ago at this point, and we most likely will just see a new one within a year-year and a half after that miittopia (or whatever) game is out

binch, i'm just talking basic boosts to performance for switch 1 games. Splatoon got a patch within the first two weeks to improve performance and enhance it to 4K.

I'm sure Animal Crossing is not so demanding that they cannot do it.

yeah the mroe ive watched about all the switch pokemon games they all seem different and have their own quirks that makes them different

Animal crossing doesn't even really need a graphical boost or anything performance wise, it looks fine, I've had 0 issues with it on a switch lite over my 700 hours in it. They aren't going to be able to fix the super slow online connection thing if that's what you mean

I'm getting more and more surprised by every single update. I'm so used to that when a new graphics update is released that its such a minor fix that I won't notice it.
The difference is night and day every single time... I have a strange gut feeling that is starting to tell me that as soon as they implement the new DLSS into Outlaws then they might get it to run at 60fps and blow our minds

I already have every other mainline Mario game physical, so I might as well buy the galaxy 1+2 pack physical since there is no galaxy 2 physical lol

So I know have

• Mario 1, lost levels (the real 2), Mario 2 (us), Mario 3 Physical on the SNES “All Stars” collection

• SMW physical on the SNES

• Mario 64 physical for the N64

• Mario Odyssey Physical

• Mario 64, Sunshine, Galaxy 1 Physical on the Switch “All Stars” collection

• Galaxy 1, Galaxy 2 Physical on the Galaxy 1+2 cart from Nintendo

I’m glad I have them all permanently instead of digital but Nintendo is f***ed up for not giving us galaxy 2 physical on its own!

I can understand not liking 3D World but Bowser’s Fury makes owning that physical worth it (personally I’m not that much of a fan of both 3D Land & 3D World).

New Mario subseries lackluster compared to the og 2D Marios so I totally get you wrt that

Having Yoshi in SMG2 and how they transposed him in a 3D platformer was an absolute stroke of genius, made possible by Wii’s IR-pointer feature; that alone easily gives SMG2 an edge over SMG1.

Where the implementation of the Wii Remote felt gimmicky as hell in SMG1 (e.g. shaking the remote and collecting Star Bits.. really Miyamoto?), in SMG2 it was a necessity and brilliant in execution.

So is anything Nintendo Switch (OLED) related worth it at this point? Like the thing itself, the pro controller or anything else related to it?

I mean the Pro controller works on the Nintendo Switch 2 too right besides the new Pro controller for the Nintendo Switch 2? Because I wonder if both of them are nice and do have some differences between them that makes each of them nice to have depending on the game that I might play... Or is the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro controller so much better and I should save the money I've to pay for the NS (OLED) and the Pro controller and just get a Nintendo Switch 2 (OLED) besides the regular Nintendo Switch 2 (LED)... I mean that makes more sense right?

Anyway I think that's it for now... Besides smh at Nintendo for not having any 2 TB's MicroSD Express cards out yet forcing me to get the 1 TB one :/

uhhh i think getting a switch oled now hinges on if you are going to get a switch 2 or not

assuming you dont have either, personally i would just get the switch 2 just for the sake of future proofing and having the certain switch 1 games run better on there. but IF you are playing the waiting game for the switch 2 (looking for worthwhile games to drop for it) you could maybe get the oled now and just resell it down the line to shave off some of the price on the switch 2.

im not really sure what the resell value of the switch oled is because after a quick search before typing this up, im seeing a lot of oled switches go for sub $200 ngl.

for pro controllers, unless you really want the gamechat button, mic support, and wake the console up when you pick the controller up, i legit think you could get by just getting the first pro controller used for way less off ebay/mercari. i think $85 or however much nintendo is charging for the pro controller 2 is ludicrous for a controller that is virtually the same as the first besides the features i listed above.
