WE WON!!! Needs to be top 10 tho
it's in my top 5 and that's all that matters
Portrait of a lady on fire is the most fraud movie of the last 10 years
Yeah but TWBB has a way more straight forward story and I think that’s why more ppl f*** wit it over Master
Maybe I just can’t relate to the response people have to The Master. Lol.
Never understood what was so hard to understand. Most PTA movies are just stories about some type of system. And then some wild card is introduced to the system. And then the system is thrown out of wack because an almost cosmic attraction gets in the way.

did not like it in the slightest
Out of all the 2010s films I was expecting either Moonlight or Tree of Life to crack the top 30 tbh not Portrait, Tree of Life or The Return (if u wanna cheat a lil) would've been the ideal 2010s picks

I’ve gotta rewatch Tree of Life
It didn’t work on me at the time, but the critical consensus is so huge that I think it should be here
It is objectively iconic

these director picks are sooo sick to see. cooler than the real list tbh
imagine texas chainsaw making the final cut

Texas Chainsaw is another one that onehundredpercent deserves to be there
It just feels like a necessary flavor

yea it sucks how little genre films there are on the main list. so f***ing insane that get out is on the list but not texas chainsaw, dawn of the dead, the thing, exorcist lol
like genre movies are excluded except for blade runner and get out basically.

honestly with how many directors who've seen it and been inspired to make films it's f***ing weird it's not on there. also the sheer influence it had on american indie cinema 10 years later down the line is huge too
where are you reading this
people keep sending em on discord to me
i pre-ordered the magazine but it's stuck in f***ing customs
my november/godard edition was stuck for about a week
many critics voted for coens probably. barton fink is one of those that gets votes but doesn't make the cut. one of my favorite coens too
@sace ohio fam pinkerton voted for barton fink back in 2012
Need Serious Man in the canon
My post-2012 pick would have been Pacific Rim.
Just shove that s*** into the top 10.
Kick out Tokyo Story, tap in Pacific Rim.
Couldn't stand that s***

Joe got some fire picks including some avant-garde/experimental s*** whew
Bruce Baillie
Not gonna lie, I’ve never heard of the top film
Guess I really ain’t a cinephile like that
