it's a shame that ppl are mad at Tyler for some bullshit instead of more valid reasons (subjugating our ears to Goblin, Wolf and Cherry Bomb in succession)
3 classics?
my ranking of those 3 albums would hurt a lot of feelings too
His old production is genuinely my favorite sound ever man im sorry
its ok never be ashamed of who you are
w that being said, relative to the recognition he gets online, he's nearly my least favorite person still making music
Ngl bro, this is giving you wasn’t there in the beginning of the big 3 convo with this list.
and I don’t even like Cole like that
I was actually. And it's many artists I listed who are from that era and still put out better tapes than Cole lmao
not too too much on for your eyes it has some songs
kod though i thought was a bit of a stinker even back then as a cole fan
That album has some songs, I'll say that
cole is great but his spirit is mid.
The nigga who was about to stole off on Hov and did on Puff
Much of his persona early on revolved around being outright dismissive of black culture.
He sorta kinda did it in a liberating way like “you can be black but don’t have to like such n such”. He talked a lot about being put into “boxes”. Being an immature teenager he of course took it too far and became edgy with it dropping hard R nwords and demeaning Jordans or whatever. That said, he never hid his overwhelmingly black musical influences
It’s not very important to me, so I can ignore it. But the contradictions from then to now, juxtaposed side-by-side in a tweet, are tough to reconcile for an outside viewer who doesn’t know his career
4YEO is awful, genuinely a like 3/10 album and I'm baffled niggas try calling it a classic
That album has some songs, I'll say that
déjà vu and neighbours are top tier singles
change is one of my favourites from him as well

Yeah I can’t stand when people try to gas that album
Y'all cling to them mixtapes from Cole for dear life. If your best s*** was mixtapes from a decade and some change ago...that ain't a good sign y'all.
Imagine you make tpab and damn and he make 4yeo and kod and niggas say yall in the same tier
Id say f*** a big 3 too
Folding Clothes > TPAB

J Cole?
How this turn into a J Cole thread
Idk but i vaguely remember Tyler throwing shots/sneak dissing Cole during BS era for his production on twitter
Woah who’s saying that
All I meant was I’ve seen Em fans speculate that Skyler has been Em’s longtime gf for years and they just keep it on the down low
legit just feel like he's just asexual tbh.
Lol bro got himself a hit thread @insertcoolnamehere
