yeah because spike lee was going off about them saying nigga too much in django lol

it was obviously a shock value bar about a controversial headline. you don’t remember all the s*** in the news about spike calling out tarantino around that time?

i personally wouldn’t have said what tyler said but you’re ignoring the fact that this dude was saying ridiculous s*** about everything and everybody and was hardly being taken seriously

like i said tho, at the same time time tyler was also constantly giving his fans history lessons in black art regardless of what other nut s*** he said/did

pretending this dude never cared or showed love to black legends is crazy bc that’s not ever how it was lol

    Spike Lee made Bamboozled

He can do whatever he wants imo, how many established celebrities would make such a harrowing statement about how 'white' people engage with black art and entertainment?

honestly at the end of the day, he cultivated this fanbase with his ignorance over the years so it's ultimately on him. with that being said, im not gonna sincerely discount a black man trying to shift the tide on how he conducts himself

especially with the context of this starting with a tribute to d'angelo

    how i feel bout it.

I think “black twitter” just cannibalizes itself. It’s a never ending cycle. I think it’s ridiculous to keep bringing up his past behaviors when he hasn’t behaved in a similar fashion in years, and has actively acknowledged and changed his ways on various things. Allow people to grow.

People are losing the plot. I seen a tweet getting a lotta rts basically putting Tyler as the axis point of white people devaluing hip hop. As if Eminem never existed

my only thing with this is i feel like earls personal accountability is really exaggerated

i feel like he always talks about it like its weird but doesnt talk about himself like he was weird

Sounds more like you just mad earl not getting as much flack as the ringleader and figurehead of odd future.

Tyler doesnt help by constantly s***ting on his fans lmao

Like if you grew out of it cool, why you let a few comments make you lash out via liking nother “god I HATE all of my white fans that spend their money and come to my shows I f***ing wish all yall would just go away and DIE crackers DIE”

Like no one woulda even thought about this if he didnt keep having this grudge against his own fanbase like nigga DO something about it then nigga lol.

Noname at least took a break after calling out white audiences (before doing coachella which she called herself out on doing).

well we just fundamentally disagree on this as I personally believe he has addressed HIMSELF being weird many times my fren even in that live love laugh interview with them white boys lmao. the album title was even a jab at himself he said.

and saying sorry not in a "sorry but also f*** you" kind of way either lol. To me (and this a personal thing), there's much more of a sincerity to Earl's words especially post Samoa along with earl's actual african/literary background that no one looks at him in a weird way + people look at him like a victim (e.g. of his mom, etc.) so there's more sympathy to the victim figure than the figure that always seems so sure of himself.

The power of the Solange co-sign has faded and he's problematic again.

Let’s be real, Solange only became relevant because of the elevator incident

This is the logical next step/eventuality that I've been waiting for.

although I still need people to get on Tyler's a-- long enough to finally figure out that he tried to groom Justin Bieber
