I'll actually give Tyler some "respect" for leaving a lot of these old flagrant anti-Black tweets up.

At any point during his rebrand with Flower Boy he could've easily wiped the tweets. But he left them up. Maybe it's because he felt deleting them would've been fake/disingenuous. Maybe he feels even though that was a very cringe self-hating part of his life he's not gonna hide his growth as a person. Maybe the nigga really did just forget to wipe all those tweets

Whatever the case, it probably would be best for him to just acknowledge the past s*** and be real about it. I ain't gonna hold anything against him cause I'm sure he's not on that s*** anymore. But if he's looking to be embraced more by Black culture and community, and further distance himself from his problematic weirdo white fanbase, addressing this behavior would only help him.

Of course you still gonna have some niggas hating him even if he does. These the kinda people who love to act like their s*** don't stink and can't ever be happy about anything. Who always love to bring up some s*** about artists they don't like that's mostly based on how they personally (mis)interpreted a piece of media by them. It is what it is. At this point, it's really just about exorcising them demons of yours and going about your life

I do think it’s a little more nuanced though as maybe his rejection of this African roots was more about that side (his father) being absent then about African culture itself

However being outraged and pretending he’s like terrible for it or something i don’t get imo it was 2011-2014 and tyler was an edgy young person that was obv like suburbanized and not rly thinking that much about the type of stuff he was saying beyond him being an outsider prolly with some internal anger or whatever I jsut think if u know who Tyler was at the time it’s not a shocker he’d grow past that and calling it out is fair but ur alr familiar and know ab this and it’s rly doesnt change how u see him prob
