Spike Lee made Bamboozled
He can do whatever he wants imo, how many established celebrities would make such a harrowing statement about how 'white' people engage with black art and entertainment?
R.N.S.
F*** Spike too

ngl i kinda want Tyler to make a whole album addressing his past coonery. imagine if it was just straight neo soul and nu jazz vibes too.
Been saying I want an album full of I Think type songs with only African samples
Hopefully this controversy leads to it happening
F*** Spike too

He done fell off for about a decade but Denzel and prime Wesley Snipes alone is enough reason for his name to hang in the rafters forever
LMAO
This got deleted
he wants that Leon collab
never heard a good tyler song
The title track on his latest album was pretty fire

nigga typed an essay on tumblr after Kanye convinced him Nazi imagery can be reclaimed into something positive at 24
it’s all making sense now
WWWWOOOOOWWW...!!
https://twitter.com/CIRC0L0C0/status/1979858238201077872that’s a nasty tweet to make at any age about black history
It's a lotta old wild tweets from him that are being brought up by Black folk and they are re-circulating HEAVY now lol
It's not like the past with old song lyrics of him getting posted on Twitter with people tryna cancel him, and he was able to duck that smoke.
It's s*** like this
nah you gotta know better than this at 21, this nigga was wilding
It’s over
Knew this would be a thing eventually
Basically every project of his has at least one song where he's simping over unrequited love. And most of them got at least one eyebrow raising line on it
I'll actually give Tyler some "respect" for leaving a lot of these old flagrant anti-Black tweets up.
At any point during his rebrand with Flower Boy he could've easily wiped the tweets. But he left them up. Maybe it's because he felt deleting them would've been fake/disingenuous. Maybe he feels even though that was a very cringe self-hating part of his life he's not gonna hide his growth as a person. Maybe the nigga really did just forget to wipe all those tweets
Whatever the case, it probably would be best for him to just acknowledge the past s*** and be real about it. I ain't gonna hold anything against him cause I'm sure he's not on that s*** anymore. But if he's looking to be embraced more by Black culture and community, and further distance himself from his problematic weirdo white fanbase, addressing this behavior would only help him.
Of course you still gonna have some niggas hating him even if he does. These the kinda people who love to act like their s*** don't stink and can't ever be happy about anything. Who always love to bring up some s*** about artists they don't like that's mostly based on how they personally (mis)interpreted a piece of media by them. It is what it is. At this point, it's really just about exorcising them demons of yours and going about your life
he just did not give a f*** bruh, during Igor era he literally said he has no regrets for anything he said or did in the past and that people need to stop getting offended for him. by that time he was already 30 and Igor was like the big f*** you to everyone who looked like him that doubted him lmfao
“what the f***s an okonma? I’m changing my s*** to haley” - Tyler 2013
I do think it’s a little more nuanced though as maybe his rejection of this African roots was more about that side (his father) being absent then about African culture itself
@Tyler Lock in and cook up that African jazz/funk inspired album I know you're capable of making. The concept right here. It's your only way out of this
nigga was mid 20s 😭😭😭
instead of being outside with the people he was tweeting and selling Nazi merch 🥀 nah he welcomed these fans openly
ima be real I think trying to be like it wasn’t cool u were part of that in this era is fair
However being outraged and pretending he’s like terrible for it or something i don’t get imo it was 2011-2014 and tyler was an edgy young person that was obv like suburbanized and not rly thinking that much about the type of stuff he was saying beyond him being an outsider prolly with some internal anger or whatever I jsut think if u know who Tyler was at the time it’s not a shocker he’d grow past that and calling it out is fair but ur alr familiar and know ab this and it’s rly doesnt change how u see him prob
he said he doesn’t care about the f slur in 2019 when Em dissed him and that all his homophobic s*** in the past is not a big deal and people need to relax when it’s directed at him
Not defending the insane dumb s*** that Tyler used to say, but why does this have more traction and discussion than Carti actually being a domestic abuser
Because of this weird notion of "we already know he's a piece of s***, so we ignore it"
It’s over
I really hate twitter. I hate the English language being so flexible as well.
1. Not even close to an loser
2. Original is a crazy statement when columbine exists
