Just behind TC, NWTS and IYRTITL, classic project and deffo not talked about nowadays because of how big Drake has become. Revisit this more than any of his post-Views output.
I feel those are his 4 classics as well . Views might go down as a classic to me as well, too many amazing songs on there
Important to Drake’s career and progression as an artists and his place in the music industry. By definition that makes it important in music history overall because Drake is one of the biggest artists ever. OP also makes good points about how it impacted the commercialization tactics of music. But just on the music itself, I don’t think there’s really anything super innovating, influential, or exemplary about it. It’s just a fine project form a fine rapper who has mega commercial appeal.
I'm a room for improvement/comeback season typa guy
same. room for improvement is so relevant to me because of the subject matter
Agreed, probably his most underrated classic and possibly his most deserved
When question how Drake changed/influenced the game they clearly don’t remember hip-hop before SFG and pretty much right after
Mid then mid now

You probably weren't even born when this dropped
Feels weird no one talks about old drake in the mainstream anymore
Swear it’s only 2015-present Drake music I see anyone talk about
Maybe TC and NWTS Drake every now and then
But NO ONE talks about TML and older Drake and that sucks cus he had some classics then too
Feel like that era was full of disappointing debut albums
Finally Famous
Sideline Story
Attention Deficit
Rolling Papers
Didn’t like Bob album either but wasn’t expecting much from him
Labels and A&Rs made these albums not artists

Drake managed to find a way to not become a legacy artist. Most kids know him from Views or after

Depends on how you found Drake tbh, and that just says enough about his legacy, I know people who love TC Drake, Views Drake, Scorpion Drake. Theres no denying his legacy and this current 16 year run.
Best mixtape of the 00’s??
I always count it in the 2010s but yes technically it came out in the 00s

Because present Drake >>>>
If this is "forward", then what's "808s"?
808's definitely inspired him big time with the minimalistic sound, especially in tracks like Lust For Life, but the tape was still a GAME CHANGER for the whole industry
tracks like Bria's Interlude, November 18th, Best I Ever Had, Successful, The Calm, Say Whats Real, Uptown.... generational.
