I've been thinking about 08-10 Drake for a good couple of months. That motherfucker was the coolest rapper on the planet without even dropping an album, a whole superstar with no album. And So Far Gone, nothing else had that vibe at the time, bad boy, dgaf rich kid rap with a hazy R&B vibe.
Drake defined a whole era, cause everyone followed suite on that sound after that.
oh really
cus you guys never shut the f*** about it !!!
calm down, relapsed bisexual
been thinking about it and the perfect Baby Keem album would sound something like so far gone, sad the beef happened and we’ll never see Drake be a more direct influence on him again

There's something truly monumental about SFG that his other albums don't have. I don't know what it is. The feeling it brings is so distinct. It's perfectly an 00s album, or the ending of the 00s sound in rap, while being the perfect beginning to the 2010s.

I think he found how to summon this feeling perfectly through this project, especially in Say Whats Real
"transitioning from fitting in to standing out"
Lust For Life, The Calm and Successful also display this thought very well
Feel like that era was full of disappointing debut albums
Finally Famous
Sideline Story
Attention Deficit
Rolling Papers
Didn’t like Bob album either but wasn’t expecting much from him
And on the other hand, some exceptional debut albums
House of Balloons
Jai Paul
Pure Heroine
Doo-Wops & Hooligans
And the bluegrass classic,
nostalgia/ultra
